TV cameras approved for Inman sentencing

GREENVILLE -- A judge has decided to allow television cameras to record the sentencing of a convicted sex offender facing life in prison or death for raping a Clemson student and strangling her with her bikini top.
Circuit Judge Edward Miller denied a motion today by Jerry Buck Inman's lawyers to keep cameras out of his Sept. 8 sentencing.
But Miller did decide to ban any live feed of the proceedings after a television station inadvertently broadcast on its Web site audio of attorneys talking while court was in recess during Inman's guilty plea last week.
Inman confessed to killing 20-year-old Tiffany Marie Souers in her off-campus apartment in 2006 by slipping through her patio door after spotting her outside several hours earlier.
